Akram Khan, MD
Primary Investigator
Dr. Akram Khan received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, India. He completed his internal medicine and critical care training at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, pulmonary fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, and sleep medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
He is an associate professor in the division of pulmonary and critical care medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He is board certified in critical care, pulmonary medicine, and sleep medicine.
His research focus is on bringing translational research to clinical practice. He is the site clinical investigator for several trials focused on the management of acute respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, and pulmonary artery hypertension.
Dr. Khan has lived in Portland for over 10 years. During his free time, he enjoys going on walks with his dogs and running.
