Pulmonary and Critical Care & Sleep Medicine (PRISM) research is based in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Founded in 2008 by Akram Khan, MD (MBBS), PRISM was established to advance research to improve health outcomes of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and sepsis. PRISM research is primarily involved in phase II-IV clinical trials.

Research
The PRISM research team performs phase II-IV clinical trials in pulmonary clinics and hospital settings. We have multiple ongoing clinical trials in conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), COVID-19, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
